YES! I hope you are facing opposition…because this means you are probably pursuing something worth doing!

Philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer states “that all truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. And third, it is accepted as being self-evident.” (I read this one in Dave Martin’s book the “12 Traits of the Greats”)

This statement refers to truths. Truths in general are things that cannot be denied or debated…they are just true upon complete examination. If you think about this to a lesser degree, and ponder it in terms of a good idea, or a new discovery, or an invention, or a movement, you will find that all of these things have the same conceptual path.

Human beings have this internal capacity to believe that what they know is the end of what there can be.  I know this seems ridiculous, but it appears to work this way. There is so much in our world that is still not understood that to be closed about anything new is foolish…but nevertheless it is what it is. Better to simply recognize that people work this way and then move forward knowing that as they are surrounded over time with the thing they didn’t think possible, they will see its possibility!

That brings me back to the original question. Are you facing opposition in the midst of your pursuits in life? Are you flying in the face of what people think they “know”? I hope you are. I hope you are pursuing a dream or a passion that puts you out there in front of people. I hope you are hearing people say “you can’t do that” or “that won’t work” or “who do you think you are?” Because if you are hearing this either directly or on the side, then I applaud you. You cannot make a difference in the world being a champion of nothing.

You know what I stand for. You know that I believe everyone is unique and has the potential to make an impact. I am flying in the face of “traditional” views in health (proactive wellness) and in business (jobs do not equal security). For many years I was mostly ridiculed. At this moment it is a blended existence. Big Industry is trying to suppress voices like mine, regular people with passion and knowledge, who want to spread the word. But we are starting to win. The self-evidence is slowly beating the malicious suppression (Big Pharma doesn’t use violence per se…they use media to wield their weapons of misinformation and brainwashing). So some might ridicule, and some may be violently opposed, but others now see the self-evidence…and interestingly enough, those who now see the self-evidence and are joining the movement? They use to be opposed:-)

Remember yesterdays normal is tomorrows out-dated and the next days obsolete. Be a movement. Stand for something. And Live.
