Laughter Feels so good doesn’t it?
I love to laugh. Its a great stress reliever and a perfect tonic for troubles. And guess what the biggest source of laughter is? Its ourselves! If we are honest with the person in the mirror, we can find lots of things to chuckle about. The problem is that when we lose sight of this. Life happens all the time. If we can accept the imperfections and the fact that few things go exactly as we think they should go, we can have a lighter view and more enjoyment. Here is a little nugget from Og Mandino on the topic:
“And most of all, I will laugh at myself for man is most comical when he takes himself too seriously. Never will I fall into this trap of the mind. For though I be nature’s greatest miracle am I not still a mere grain tossed about by the winds of time? Do I truly know whence I came or whither I am bound? Will my concern for this day not seem foolish ten years hence? Why should I permit the petty happenings of today to disturb me? What can take place before this sun sets which will not seem insignificant in the river of centuries?”
Think about this a little and you will see the power in this mentality!
