It usually gets harder to deal with!
This is the way of anything important that needs to be dealt with. Whether its a health issue, a relationship struggle, or a business problem. The longer you ignore it the worse it’s going to get.
“The inclination to ignore problems is once again a simple manifestation of an unwillingness to delay gratification. Confronting problems is, as I have said, painful. To willingly confront a problem early, before we are forced to confront it by circumstances, means to put aside something pleasant or less painful for something more painful. It is choosing to suffer now in the hope of future gratification rather than choosing to continue present gratification in the hope that future suffering will not be necessary.” M. Scott Peck MD, The Road Less Traveled
Challenges and struggles are part of every life. As soon as we accept that this is so, they just become life. Any time we seek instant gratification as a means of neglecting an issue, the price of the issue is going to go up. Even the instant gratification isn’t as gratifying because we KNOW we still have the issue.
Sooner is always better than later when it comes to problem solving.
