“The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty.”-Proverbs 21:5
I absolutely love proverbs. There is so much applicable and simple wisdom packed into every line. Studying proverbs everday and living in accordance with the lessons is a guaranteed way to maximize your potential.
Four points from this eloquent nine words:
1. You need to have a plan. If you don’t have a plan in life, I can promise you that by default you will simply be part of someone else’s plan. And while that still may turn out okay for you, it’s never going to be as fruitful as having your own plan. So whatever it is you are trying to achieve, create a plan. I can promise you that your plan isn’t going to work out perfectly, because it isn’t possible to foresee all that will happen on your road to success, but a basic plan you can consistently act on will certainly move you in the direction of your goal.
2. You need to be diligent. Diligent by definition means: constant in effort to accomplish something; attentive and persistent in doing anything. You don’t execute your plan a day or two and see what happens. You commit diligently to your quest and strive UNTIL you reach your goal. This is what all successful people do. Talent is typically not the thing that carries you to success…diligence is.
3. Surely you will get there. Just like the farmer is certain that if they cultivate, plant, and nurture, that they will harvest, you will surely succeed if you follow the process of the work that leads to success. In my work, the process if easy to work and surely leads to success for those who follow it with diligence.
4. Plenty is the result. Plenty is essentially abundance. Acting on your plan with diligence and the understanding of the certainty of success in time will always, eventually, take you to abundance. Regardless of where your starting point is.
