How often in life does victory escape because of impatience?

I have little doubt, that most unrealized goals are a result of a  lack of patience. What worthy endeavor will not test you? ZERO. If something is worth having, you better completely believe that it is worth being patient. Of course, I am pre-supposing that the required effort is present. That is a given in this message.

I have seen countless people in my life, who had everything they needed to achieve the pursuit they were after. Whether this was a business pursuit, a pursuit of passion, a sport, it didn’t matter…they didn’t make it for one reason and one reason only: They gave up too soon. Transaltion: They were impatient.

Quitting due to impatience is foolish. Think about it. If we desire somothing, and we are capable, to become impatient in the pursuit and stop, guarantees that we don’t get it. When we don’t get it…thats for life! How ridiculous to allow a few months or years of patience to stand in the way of a lifetime of fruit. Ironically, when someone quits their endeavor because they lost patience…they have gained nothing….because the next thing they endeavor to do…assuming it is worthwhile, will require guess what?

You will need patience at the beginning with your learning curve, you will need patience when you deal with obstacles, you will need pateince duirng seasons when you seem stuck or on a plateau, you will need patience when you suffer setbacks, you  will need patience because it will never happen fast enough for you, you will need patience at every turn imagineable.

The good news? Patience is a free choice. Anyone can have it. You just have to care enough about what you are trying to achieve to develop it. Here’s a few gems on patience:

“We could never learn to be brave and patient, if there were only joy in the world.”-Helen Keller
“Patience and perserverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish.”-John Quincy Adams
“Never cut a tree down in wintertime. Never make a negative decision in a low time. Never make your most important decisions when you are in your worst moods. Wait. Be patient. The storm will pass. the spring will come.”-Robert Schuller
“Patience, persistence, and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success.”-Napoleon Hill
“The key to everything is patience. You get the chicken by hatching the egg, not by smashing it.”-Arnold H. Glasgow
“Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet.”-Jean-Jacques Rousseau
“Patience and diligence, like faith, remove mountains.”-William Penn
