How would you like to Guarantee you will be successful in your Pursuits?
Success is not difficult. Failure is.
How can I say this? Because I like to look at the big picture. Certainly any worthy endeavor will have challenges and struggles. Thats part of growing and developing in life, and its part of the same in anything we do. In the big scheme of things, becoming successful in anything is really as simple as understanding the process, or steps, that are needed to be taken, and then just disciplining ourselves to take the steps over and over until we arrive at what we consider to be success.
If success is so simple, then why aren’t more people successful? More are successful than you might think, because success is very personal. Having said that, not nearly enough are successful in general, because they won’t take the steps that they could take. The successful person simply does what the unsuccessful person is unwilling to do. And what is vital to grasp, is that the things the success is doing are easy to do, they are just the steps that the failure could take too, but won’t!
Failure is much more difficult. Og Mandino describes failure as “not reaching your goals in life.” I don’t completely concur, because not reaching goals is part of the success journey. I would add “and giving up.” Now you have a failure. This is a difficult life. Knowing everyday that you could have. Experiencing the continuous frustration of not being remotely where you could be. Knowing you shrunk away from what you were created to become. That my friends, is a difficult way to live.
You get to choose and you can start anyday you choose. If you are still above ground, you can begin to do and be what is in your heart, starting now. Choose success.
“To distinguish yourself, get noticed, and advance your career, you need to do and be more. You have to rise above average. You can do this by asking more of yourself than others ask, expecting more from yourself than others expect, believing more in yourself than others believe, doing more than others think you should have to do, giving more than others think you should give, and helping more than others think you should help.”-John Maxwell
