There is an urgency to reach out to people about your product or opportunity right now. But it might not be for the exact reason you are thinking…
Yes this is a season of work for most people and you should take big action on your goals. But there is also this…You see, the people you know are right now actively trying to make changes for the better in their life. This means that they are poised to make decisions. It is normal for people to jump on the first thing that seems like an answer. This can often lead to an unfortunate outcome because the combination of their urgent desire to find a solution and the inherent wish for the answer to come easily makes them susceptible to taking the wrong road. This happens because most things are presented in the best light possible and people don’t tend to look deeply enough…well at least there is a corresponding connection between how deep someone looks and how desperate for a solution they are. My experience is the more desperate…the less deep of a look!
The urgency I am referring to relates to responsibility. If you truly have something that is good, that can really help someone, then YOU have the responsibility to let them know about it before they jump at something else because they didn’t have the chance to choose you. Set aside all thoughts of you in the contacting equation and focus on the FACT that it’s highly likely you are doing someone a favor just by reaching out to them.
