Children are the most precious gift we can be blessed with.
I can still remember the incredible joy I felt when both of our children were born. I had no idea I was capable of loving something as much as I love my children. I know I’m not unique in this. I believe most every parent feels the same way. When we were first pregnant (yes, the husband is pregnant too, they’re just not carrying the child:-) people would say to me how I would experience this feeling. I was like “yeah yeah yeah” I didn’t get it at all. And then they were born and I can clearly remember thinking “oh, this is what they meant!”
But sometimes, we don’t know the best things to do
We do whatever we can for our children. We make huge sacrifices in our own lives so that they have the best opportunities and care we can possibly give them. But sometimes, we don’t know the best things to do. And that is the spirit in which I post this.
The pharmaceutical industry sees children as a “growth industry”
The pharmaceutical industry sees children as a “growth industry.” Let that sink in for a second…a growth industry. I know they are in business to make money. I also know that the state of health of children in developed nations is declining rapidly, so in the eyes of the Big pharma it makes sense to focus their attention in this direction. But I have to tell you….this really ticks me off. Not that there isn’t a place for what the pharmaceutical industry can do. There are many times when drugs are literally life savers. But in the overall picture, children are over-medicated, and the long term implications are horrendous. It is my belief that any parent that is truly aware of what they are giving to their child, would think long and hard before doing so and would turn over every stone they could to find a different solution.

I made this video some time ago. I actually forgot that I had done it. But the information on this video is a wake up call for any mother or father, and is every bit as relevant at this moment as it was a few years ago when I recorded it. If you have children, especially children on medication, take a few moments to watch this and then share it with other parents you know.
