This Might Feel a Little Like I’ve Been Talking To One of the Little Guys That Lives on Your Shoulder….
You know the one I am talking about. The one that does such a great job of pointing out your short-comings. The one that whispers to you that you aren’t good enough. The one that tells you that if you could just be like other people that you admire that you would be able to do better.
I know this guy really well. This guy ran my life for a long time. He made sure I was constantly reminded how I couldn’t succeed because I was too shy, and I didn’t have any money, and people like me don’t succeed, and….
And I bought it. For a long time. And guess where that guy had me going? Yup…Nowhere. I was being pathetic. There I said it. I was being pathetic. No shame in admitting that. That’s just the truth that described me for the first half of my life.
It Was at That Point That I Decided to Start Listening to the Guy on the Other Shoulder.
That other guy said “hey hey hey, hold on a minute. Don’t believe that guy. You’ve got lots of good qualities. You just have to stop buying his excuses and start working at something, and working on something, namely yourself!” And then I started to discover I was capable of a lot more than I gave myself credit for.
I’m not going to tell you my trajectory to success was a straight up rocket. It wasn’t. I’m not going to tell you that I didn’t make lots of mistakes, and fall down a lot. I did. I am going to tell you, that my life has been a whole lot better listening to the other guy and testing the bounds of my capabilities. And yours will be too.
You are going to have struggles and challenges either way in life. Sitting on your butt and making excuses by blaming what you are not and by pointing to your overwhelming circumstances is going to mean a life of struggles. Going for your dreams and choosing to see what you are capable of is going to have plenty of struggle to it too. The reality of it is…
The Struggle You Face to Grow Yourself and Pursue Your Dreams is The Way to Live an Exciting and Good Life.
This is why I have such a heart to help people reach their dreams. I know what it’s like, and what it takes, to rise up. I know, without a shadow of a doubt, even if I have never met you, that you are capable of so much more than you know.
Gandhi once said “If we all did what we are capable of it would suffice to solve the world’s problems.”
That’s me. That’s You. You’ve just got to decide to go for it.
In this video I share a lot more on this topic and I’m pretty sure it will help you out!
