You, and Your Contribution, Matter in a Big Way.

Whether you know it or not, and whether you acknowledge it or not. You are having an impact in the world whether it is on purpose or not.
One of the core needs of all human beings is to feel that we matter. That we are relevant to others. To feel like we are doing something meaningful.
I’m going to show you exactly how this is true, and how you can step up your game if you want to.

Things change globally based on the actions of each human being locally.

That local action starts with you. You work on you, so you can better make an impact in the lives of those that you love, and so that you can make a higher and higher level of contribution to the greater good as you develop your way through life. Regardless of where you are right now. It doesn’t matter what your job is, where you live, or what your past has been like.

You have No Idea What You Are Capable Of…

Gandhi said “The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve the world’s problems.”

Problems are solved by people who stretch themselves in the quest to create solutions. By definition this is using capability, and often a result of newly discovered capabilities demanded by the severity of the problem. Few, if any human beings uncover their full capabilities throughout the course of their lives. We would have to be nurtured in exactly the right way for our specific set of unique traits from the moment we were born.

Unfortunately the majority of us have had little individual investment by others in uncovering our uniqueness and gifts, and worse, spent most of our formative years being discouraged for ever even considering doing something outside of the collective norm, which of course has come about through one (of infinite) LENS of how life should be lived. This is in addition to all the negative conditioning that we have all been bathed in.

The result is that the majority of us don’t even believe we are capable of anything that matters by the time we have survived our teen years.
It isn’t until we have been banged around in the walk of life, that we start to see that the voices who told us what NOT to be are nowhere to be found when it comes to helping us become who we are SUPPOSED to be.

Then…when we start combining this experience and new understanding that a paradigm isn’t always a truth, with a purposeful journey of self-development and heightened self-awareness, we start to become much more capable in general, but more important become more confident as a result, which then propels us to push through our false boundaries and accelerate our growing capability.

Next, we ironically start to discover through all of this work on ourselves, that it’s NOT about US (me and you) as individuals, but about US as a collective and the contribution we make as individuals, to the greater good. WHICH comes from our capabilities.

It makes perfect sense that in order to have the absolute best version of the world possible, we would have to have all the people being their best version possible, and that could never be possible if we are all trying to be like each other.

You have an important role to play in making a better world. If you didn’t know it before, you now have heard it from me. I hope you choose to accept this and dig in because here comes the next BIG point…

There Would Be Less Problems IN The World If Everyone Was Doing What is On Their Heart To Do

You see, I KNOW that everyone is here to make a contribution, and the highest contribution is naturally going to come from something that is in line with who you are….NOT who you might THINK you are. This is where your heart comes in.

Things that are on your heart are congruent with who you are as a human being. How you are wired. If something is on your heart, it’s a feeling, an urging, that simply won’t go away. This is a clue to who you are built to become. This doesn’t mean you have to change your career, and it doesn’t mean you have to do work that is heart-centered for you. It would be ideal of course, to be able to be heart-driven in your career, and you can with the right coaching and leadership ( it’s not difficult to connect your heart and vocation), but not necessary.

These two things can be, and for most people are, mutually exclusive, at least for a long period of time.

It simply means that you will have a better life if you pursue the thing on your heart, even for just a small part of your week.
You will be more fulfilled as a person, you will learn new things about yourself, and you will show up in a higher way in your career. You will also be doing something that adds to the world in some positive way.

This is a simple perspective in how we all fit together.

You are suppose to contribute from YOUR heart-center, and everyone else contributes from their heart-center, and we have a planet full of people who are fulfilled and making their unique impact.

So…Do you want to build a better world?
