Regardless of How Carefully You Have Crafted Your Goal(s) These Insights Can Make the Difference.

Whatever it is that you want to accomplish, ideally you have put in the time to map out the steps necessary, the time it will take and what it will truly mean in your life in the deeper sense.

I say deeper, because if the goal is not truly connected to a greater purpose/desire/need than because it would be good for you to achieve it in some way, then you’ll never go through what you have to go through to make it happen.

That’s just the truth. Meaningful goals are hard. They will make you struggle, doubt, perhaps cry, sweat, and any other way you manifest challenge. It’s not optional. The good news about that last sentence is that life will do that for you/to you whether you struggle to improve or you struggle because you’re not struggling to improve. All you have to do is think about that for 30 seconds and you know it’s reality.

So here are five things that can help you stay the course. I dive much deeper in the video on these, but for now, I’ll give you the quick perspective.

You have to want it bad. To achieve something you’ve never done, you’re going to have to do things you’ve never done in some capacity. And that’s going to stretch you and challenge you. Consider this…how badly do you want this goal?

Prepare to Learn. Put simply, there are clearly things relative to the goal that you aren’t good at yet or this wouldn’t even be a thing. Recognize, and welcome, the fact that you have to walk through the learning curve of being not so good at something on your way to becoming good enough to accomplish.

No Plan B. DO NOT give yourself a secondary option IF your goal doesn’t work out (within reason). The minute you give yourself an out, you will eventually take it.

One Step at a Time. Forget about how far you have to go. Focus on the step you have in front of you in the day. And take it. You know that success is a process. And a process is a series of steps repeated. Simple. Real. True. Works.

Love Yourself Enough. Oh My. This is the biggest of all. YOU. ARE. WORTH. IT. So much of your past self-sabotage has been because some compilation of the voices of your life experience have you believing that you are not worthy of much. Bulls$#t. That’s not your voice. That’s not your truth.

You are a unique creation of God. No one else on this earth is exactly like you or can do exactly what you can in the way you do. Start celebrating that, and working on you so the world will be a better place.
